A Day of Intuitive Making

There are moments in life where something is changing, but you can’t quite name it. You feel it in your body. In your restlessness. In the sense that something no longer fits—but you don't know what comes next.

That’s the space this day is for. Not to figure it out. But to give it form.

You’ll spend the day making a stick doll—working with your hands, step by step, without overthinking it.

And somewhere in that process, something begins to shift. It’s not something you plan. It’s something you notice.

By the end of the day, you leave with a finished piece—but also with the sense that something opened, or loosened, or became a little clearer.

And what you made tends to hold that in a way you can keep seeing.

What Is a Stick Doll, Really?

You might hear them called stick dolls, spirit dolls, or stick spirits. Different names, same idea.

Whatever you call it, it becomes yours. A handmade vessel. Something you made with your hands that ends up meaning more than you expected—a companion that holds a bit of your story and stays with you long after the day is done.

You'll craft yours from sticks, clay, fabric, fibers, and whatever calls to you. Some dolls are wild and playful, some are simple and grounded. Each one is a reflection of the person who made it, and no two are ever alike.

  • “This was my 1st spirit doll creation that awakened unseen facets of myself. Stacy provided a safe, calm, nonjudgmental space for each of us to explore ourselves while creating these dolls. Stacy is a great teacher who truly loves the process. She was helpful & her supplies to create these one-of-a-kind dolls left nothing out. 10 out of 10 ⭐️’s for me.“

  • “I signed up hoping to spend a day creating something new. Your class gave me so many options to explore, and with your guidance, it all came together—just as you said it would. I was grateful to step away from the outside world for a day.”

  • “The spirit doll workshop with Stacy was just what I needed to give myself a day of creativity and supportive company. She offered a clean, organized space and all the supplies so we could just show up. No artistic experience needed! Stacy paced and guided things well and offered support as our unique dolls all emerged. Highly recommend!”
