Make Something. Discover Something.

The Artful Crone:

Come back to making.

You've felt it—that quiet pull toward creating something with your hands. Something that matters. Something that's yours. If you're a woman who loves folk art, meaningful making, or the idea of creating objects that hold real intention, you're in the right place.

When The Creative Pull Shows Up

For a lot of women, it happens in midlife. After years of tending to everything and everyone else, something inside starts whispering again.

A creative pull. An urge to make something.

Not to become an artist. Not to master anything. Just to make something real that feels connected to what's moving inside you.

This is a space for that. To reconnect with your creative self. To make things that matter.

Why This Matters

There's something that happens when you make with your hands and follow your intuition instead of a plan. You slow down. You listen. And without trying, you begin to hear something—a small voice, a knowing, something that's been waiting for you to pay attention.

The objects you make become holders of that listening. They sit on your shelf and remind you. They keep you company. They know you in a way few things do.

That's why I do this work.

And that creative pull you feel? I think it's about more than just getting back into crafting. I think you're being called back into creative living—where the things you make tell your story and help you see the woman you're becoming.

Your creative play becomes an expression of you.

Creativity Works Differently Here

In my studio, I don't start with a plan. I gather what feels right and just begin. Maybe that's a stick from the yard, wrapped with yarn, tucked with crystals and herbs—and once it gets a little clay face, a spirit doll is born. Or maybe I long to get messy with paper mâché, looking for a face that wants to tell a story.

I don't always know what I'm making when I start. But something happens as I work. The figure takes on a presence. A personality. A quiet knowing.

And over time, these things I've made—spirit dolls, talismans, small sacred objects—become more than craft projects. They become companions. Mirrors. A way of staying in real conversation with myself.

That's what I want for you, too.

What Happens Inside The Artful Crone

Each month, I create a spirit doll or talisman—a handmade object that holds meaning, intention, and something of the person who made it. You watch it emerge: the choices I make, the materials I'm drawn to, the moment when it suddenly feels alive.

Then it's your turn.

I'll show you the step-by-step. The techniques. But more than that, I'll show you the why—the intuitive part, the part where meaning shows up in the making.

You can follow exactly, or you can use it as a doorway into your own version. Make something that's entirely yours. Something that couldn't exist without your hands, your choices, your particular magic.

There's no right way. No pressure to produce something perfect. Just an invitation to make something that holds meaning—and to discover what emerges when you do.

Once a month, on the third Sunday, 2:00–3:30 Eastern, we gather live on Zoom for what I call The Sacred Studio. No agenda. Just us—your questions, what you're discovering in the making, what's unfolding beneath the surface. A space to connect with other women who are answering this same creative call.

And whenever you need a doorway in, you'll have our full library of past projects waiting for you.
