Make Something

Current Workshops
Each season, I offer a small collection of workshops for women drawn to soulful making, symbolic creativity, and the magic of their own imaginations. Some happen live in my West Asheville studio. Some happen live online, where we make together. And some are digital, self-paced classes, so you can work at your own pace. All of them are rooted in spirit dolls, folk art, and the kind of making in which simple materials slowly become something personal, soulful, and completely your own.
Asheville Workshops
A full day of making together here in my West Asheville studio — small group, real food, and time to slow all the way down.
The Stick Doll Workshop
Friday, October 24, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM
West Asheville Studio
$200 · Lunch included · Limited to 4 women
A full day making a mixed-media stick doll together in the studio — sticks, clay, fabric, fibers, and found bits, built slowly with plenty of time to talk, eat, and let the doll take shape. Lunch is included, and the day stays small on purpose: just four of us at the table.
Live Online Workshops
Live, guided Zoom workshops where we make together over several sessions. Small groups, real-time guidance, and recordings are included so you can revisit the sessions anytime.
The Online Stick Doll Studio
Fridays, August 14, 21, 28 & September 4
1:00–3:00 PM Eastern | Live on Zoom | Recordings included
Special Summer Rate: $97
Registration closes August 7!
A 4-week live online workshop where we’ll make a mixed-media spirit doll from sticks, a molded clay face, fabric, fibers, beads, and found bits. We’ll build slowly, layer by layer, and let the doll reveal herself through the making. No experience needed, and no face sculpting from scratch. Live on Zoom, recordings included.
The Equinox Spirit Doll Workshop
Sundays, September 13, 20 & 27 and October 4 & 11
1:00 – 4:00 PM Eastern | Live on Zoom
$375
This is a small-group workshop for making a spirit doll as we move through the fall equinox — a season of balance, change, and listening for what wants to take shape next.
We'll work slowly, creating a doll with wire, clay, fabric, paint, yarn, and meaningful details — letting the doll take shape one layer at a time.
Self-Paced Digital Classes
Digital workshops you can begin anytime and move through at your own pace. Good if you want to make slowly, revisit the lessons, or fit the work into the pockets of your life.
Tree Spirits
Self-paced digital workshop · $47
Start anytime
A playful, approachable way to make a small spirit figure from simple materials: sticks, fibers, clay, and whatever little bits you feel called to add. If you're new to this kind of making, this is a lovely place to begin.
